For Australian operations

Pig management software for Australian producers.

Sow cards, farrowing records, weaning weights, biosecurity plans, feed conversion, and PigPass-friendly movement tracking — built for the realities of Australian piggery work.

Why farmers choose PaddockMateIQ

Pig records are unforgiving. A missed pregnancy check turns into an empty pen. A sloppy mating record turns into mystery litters. A vaccinations book left in the workshop turns into a Mycoplasma outbreak nobody saw coming. PaddockMateIQ keeps every sow's reproductive history, every weaning weight, every vaccination, every move on one screen you can pull up in the farrowing shed or at the boar pen.

Sow cards that update themselves. Log a mating. Pregnancy check 28 days later. Farrowing date pre-computed (114-day gestation locked into the species table). Litter count, born-alive, born-dead, weaning weights — all on the same sow card. Six-litter reproductive history per sow at a glance.

Biosecurity that satisfies audits. The Livestock Biosecurity Plan template (22-question LPA-style) is built into the platform. Visitor sign-in via QR code at the front gate captures every contractor, vet visit and AI tech who comes on-farm. Auditors love it.

Feed conversion you can actually use. Track grower group feed deliveries, weights in, weights out, average daily gain and feed conversion ratio. Per group, per shed, per genetic line. The numbers that matter for your margin.

What you get

Sow cards

Every sow has a full reproductive history: matings, preg-tests, farrowings, weanings. Born-alive, born-dead, weaning weight averages computed per litter.

Boar records

Mating frequency, semen-quality observations (if you AI), age and culling history. Track which boar is responsible for which sow.

Vaccination + medication

Bundled APVMA products with default WHP. Routine programs (Erysipelas, parvovirus, Mycoplasma, ileitis) can be scheduled batch-wide.

Biosecurity plan

Built-in 22-question LBSP wizard, visitor sign-in via QR code, hazard zones on the property map (e.g. dead-pig pit, effluent pond).

Movements + PigPass

Capture inter-property movements with PIC + count + reason. Export movement summaries that line up with PigPass / NVD requirements for sale.

Group performance

Grower groups (weaner, grower, finisher) with weights in, weights out, days on feed, ADG and FCR. Identify your top and bottom performing batches quickly.

How it works

  1. Add sows, boars and grower groups

Bulk import from spreadsheets or add one at a time. We support a mix of stud breeding and commercial production on the same farm.

  2. Record in the shed

Log matings at the boar pen. Farrowings in the farrowing shed. Vaccinations during routine work. All from your phone, all offline-tolerant.

  3. Run reports at sale or audit time

Reproductive performance per sow, FCR per group, biosecurity plan PDF for buyers or auditors, vaccination history per pen for Salmonella audit programs.

Common questions

Does the platform handle the 22-question LBSP?

Yes. The Livestock Biosecurity Plan wizard walks you through all 22 questions from the LPA template (identification, stock introductions, movements, animal health, feed and water, people and equipment, feral animals, records, emergency response). Save as draft, mark as approved, version as you refine.

How do I track sow reproductive performance?

Each sow has a card showing mating dates, preg-test results, farrowing dates, born-alive / born-dead / weaning numbers per litter. Lifetime averages compute automatically. Filter sows by performance to find low-producers.

What about feed conversion tracking?

Grower groups capture weight-in (entry weight), weight-out (sale weight), days on feed, total feed delivered, and computed FCR. Compare batch-to-batch FCR over time to spot drift.

Is this compatible with PigPass?

PaddockMateIQ generates the movement information PigPass requires — origin PIC, destination PIC, count, date, vehicle. We don't directly submit to PigPass (that's a separate workflow) but the data needed is captured and exportable.

Can I track tail-docking and teeth-clipping?

Yes. Each piglet event (tail dock, teeth clip, ear notch, castration, iron injection) is captured with date and operator. Useful for buyer documentation and AVA welfare records.

What sizes of operation does it suit?

From a 5-sow free-range piggery in the hills to a 500-sow indoor commercial operation. The same platform scales — the difference is whether you use mob-level groups (commercial) or individual sow cards (stud or smaller commercial).
